That is not an all-clear or a forecast. Conditions can change quickly; keep local emergency notifications enabled.

    A watch means prepare

Conditions are favorable for the named hazard. Know where you will shelter, charge your phone and keep a reliable way to receive warnings. A watch does not confirm damage at your property.

    A warning means act

The hazard is occurring or imminent in the warned area. Follow the specific official instructions above. Stay indoors during lightning, hail or dangerous winds; do not go onto the roof.

    After conditions are safe

What to do if your roof may be damaged

    1. Check from the ground for fallen branches, missing shingles and damaged gutters. Keep away from downed power lines and unstable structures.
    2. Photograph visible damage from a safe location. Note when you first noticed it; a regional alert alone does not prove when a roof was damaged.
    3. For an interior leak, avoid sagging ceilings and wet electrical fixtures. Ask about safe temporary protection and document any authorized work.
    4. Arrange an inspection when safe access is possible. Your insurer and policy determine coverage; a storm watch does not guarantee a covered claim.

    Where these updates come from

Watch and warning text is supplied by the National Weather Service. We display its issue and expiration times in Central Time, refresh the feed throughout the day and remove expired alerts. If the feed cannot be verified as current, we show that limitation instead of an all-clear.

MCO Roofing adds practical roofing guidance. We do not infer property damage from radar or weather alerts, and we do not publish automated damage claims or unverified storm reports.
