Editorial Policy
Legacy guides are published by MCO Roofing as an organization. A publication label does not mean a guide received separate legal, insurance, engineering or third-party editorial review. When a page has a confirmed individual writer or reviewer, we identify that relationship on the page. The profile for Houston Meerdink, identifies him as MCO Roofing's owner and founder, not as the author of every guide.
How we use sources
Some guides include source notes beside the passages they support. A source note states what the named primary source establishes and identifies important limits. Articles without source notes are MCO Roofing field guidance. They should not be read as independently verified legal or insurance advice.
How cost ranges work
Local cost ranges are dated, geographic estimates based on MCO Roofing quoting experience unless a different methodology is stated. They are not guaranteed quotes and should not be read as independent market surveys.
Updates and corrections
Material changes to product specifications, legal information or the substance of a guide receive a visible modified date. Minor formatting changes do not reset the date. We correct claims when a current primary source or first-party record shows that an earlier statement is no longer accurate.
